Martin Hinnigan

Martin was born on 24th August 1961, in Lanchester to Joe & Edna. He was their 5th child, closely
preceeded by Mary his twin sister and his other brothers and sisters are Kenneth, John, David and
Ann.
On 14th February 2004 Martin married Jackie , the wedding taking place at Saint Georges Church in
Redditch , Birmingham and this surely was a brilliant day, witnessed and celebrated with their newly
joined family.
Shortly afterwards moving to the Consett into their new home.
Martin was a very proud dad to Christopher and Leanne and also a very proud stepdad to Kim and
Brian.
Most recently Martin had one of his finest moments when he became a grandad to Paige.
He also loved his pet dog ' Patch'
He drove articulated trucks for Smurfit, He really enjoyed his job. Cruelly though he paid the
ultimate price while driving his truck, following a road traffic accident near Leeds Martin was
Pronounced dead at 0224hrs on 2nd July.
Martin was a much loved husband, dad, stepdad , brother and uncle and he will be missed by everyone
who knew him.
